Amber Fort, one of the pink city's most magnificent attractions
Amber Fort
Whether you say Amber Fort or Amer Fort, the building is an ancient fort located about 11 km from Jaipur in Rajasthan. It is a magnificent structure dedicated to the ruling Kachhawa clan of Amber and stands atop a cliff next to the Jaipur Delhi Highway.
The structure is an exquisite blend of Mughal and Rajput architecture and innovatively combines red stone with white marble. The Amber Fort is truly one of the pink city's most magnificent attractions. Thanks to the Maota Lake, this stately testimony of the Rajputs takes on an imposing appearance. Inside the Amber Fort is the temple shrine of Shila Mata or the Kali Temple, the family goddess of the Kachhawaha Rajput kings. The Amber Fort dazzles your eyes with its most striking formation, the Amber Palace.
It is an interior building constructed by Man Singh I, with sprawling gardens, large rooms and chambers, excellent planning and rich elaboration. The palace also houses other structures such as the Jai Mandir Victory Temple, Sukh Niwas, Sheesh Mahal, the Hall of Mirrors and the Ganesh Pole. As a viewer, the intricate carvings on the walls and ceiling as well as the hunting paintings are a representation of the former chivalrous Rajput rulers who were self-indulgent and truly adventurous.
In addition, the fort also features a Diwan-e-Aam Hall open on three sides for public audiences and a Diwan-e-Khaas Hall for private audiences. The Amber Fort is a site worth visiting in every sense. So plan a trip to Jaipur and see what else you can experience here to share with our fans.
