Known for elephant and camel safaris, Rajasthan is also famous for elephant polo matches. Off the beaten track behind Ambar Fort on the foothills of the Aravali range, this unique sport can be watched all year round. The gigantic size of the elephants amazes the onlooker. 

The royal splendour of elephants, their wonderful movements and their silent eyes have always made them the most important possessions of kings. Elephant polo can also be specially performed on request and the competition is held annually at Chaugan. The game was introduced in Meghauli, Nepal and is an excellent sight to behold.
