Mount Abu is the only hill station of Rajasthan and is situated in the Aravali range. However, the main attraction is undoubtedly the Dilwara temples, which are among the most impressive structures in the country. Travellers can enjoy quiet, relaxed boating on Lake Nakki and enjoy the sunset from the viewpoints.
The restaurants and inns around the lake are great places to eat local food and relax. The highest peak in the Aravali Range - Guru Shikhar - is also located in Mt Abu. The Mount Abu Forest Sanctuary with its rich flora and fauna is also a highlight. The exceptionally intricate architecture of the Dilwara temples is of course the main attraction here and you can easily spend hours wondering how these temples were built over 2 centuries, almost 1000 years back.
The temples were specifically built to be inconspicuous from the outside so as not to attract looters, and they have stood the test of time very well
