Jaisalmer in Rajasthan is visited by tourists for its vast desert sands. Popular desert safaris in Jaisalmer take place in the Sam Sand Dunes. 

A jeep will take you to a point near the Sam Sand Dunes (about 45 km from the city) from where the camel ride begins, which takes about 90 minutes. You will also stop at some attractions along the way.The safaris can be done in the morning or evening, followed by a delicious meal and a musical dance programme showcasing the local culture of Rajasthan. 

If you do not want to indulge in this and opt for a fancy experience, there are some operators like Trotters who will take you to the Khuri Sand Dunes. The meal is modest and the tent is pitched for you, making it perfect for stargazing.

Amber Fort Whether you say Amber Fort or Amer Fort, the building is an ancient fort located about 11 km from Jaipur in Rajasthan. Sajjangarh Palace, Udaipur

 Sajjangarh Palace, Udaipur Situated on the outskirts of Udaipur on a hill, Sajjangarh Palace is a former royal residence of the Mewar dynasty, which ruled the place for centuries. The palace complex is named after its patron Maharana Sajjan Singh, who commissioned and built the structure in 1884. It was originally intended as a nine-storey astronomical observatory to observe and assess the arrival and patterns of the monsoon clouds, which could be easily seen from the palace as it is located at a strategic vantage point on one of the hilltops of the Aravalli range, Bansdara Peak. It is for this reason that it earned the name Monsoon Palace. It would also have provided employment opportunities for the subjects.
