 Sikar is a historic town in the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan between Agra and Bikaner. Sikar is known for its intricate architecture with large havelis and frescoed forts, and lies in the shadow of massive walls with seven entrance gates to the city.

Sikar is great for lazing around, taking photo walks, soaking up the distinct culture and chatting with the locals as you marvel at the magnificent monuments.The historic town of Sikar is the base camp of the village of Sikar in the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan. Sikar houses several ancient havelis and huge Mughal-style houses that delight both history and prehistory buffs.

The town delights in the frescoes that embellish the partitions and structures of the Laxmangarh Fort, a ruined hillside fort, reflecting the stories of the earlier times. Walk about this residential area, which is 114 km from Jaipur and is essentially known for its specialties, culture and accommodations. There are several different havelis in Laxmangarh, for example, the Bansidhar Rathi Haveli, Sawant Ram Chokhani Haveli, Sanganeria Haveli, to name a few, which showcase phenomenal architectural style and masterful construction.
