Chowara is a rapidly growing town in Ernakulam district in the territory of Kerala, India. As of 2001 Indian statistics, Chowwara had a population of 13,603. Half of the population consisted of men and half of the women. Chowwara had a normal education rate of 79%, higher than the national normal rate of 59.5%: male education was 81% and female education was 76%.
