Kalamassery, Kerala
Kalamassery is an important industrial region in the city of Kochi in the province of Kerala, India. Kalabhasery was the place where the elephants for the Thrikkakara temple could rest after their performance at the shrine, located near HMT, Kalamassery. Over time, Kalabhasery evolved into Kalamassery. The conspicuous region was demonstrably called Njalakam, with a conspicuous Juma Masjid, but in the time of production of Kalamassery Panchayat, which includes Njalakam, the decision was taken to choose the name Kalamassery instead of Njalakam because Kalamassery is developing due to the new enterprises like HMT here.
Later, Kalamassery was elevated to a municipality due to the development. Besides, there are many small businesses in Kalamassery like St. Antony Industries, Micro Tools, Ambadan Industries, Vellappally Manufacturing Industry, and Pottekattu Rubbers Pvt.Ltd, Logiwiz, Bajaj and so on.
