 Kuruvadweep is the only island in Kerala surrounded by a naturally purified water source. 


It has an area of 950 hectares in Wayanad district, Kerala, India. Surrounded by creeks and rivers, the island is accessible by rafts or fiber boats provided by the Kerala Tourism Department and consists of dense evergreen forest that harbors rare species of flora and fauna. 

One can see many attractive things like bridges made of bamboo trees and other rare species of trees. One can also enjoy the beauty of the island without destroying the pristine nature and can also plan trekking in Kuruva Island.
