Soochipara Falls, also known as Sentinel Rock Waterfalls

 Soochipara Falls, also known as Sentinel Rock Waterfalls, is surrounded by huge hills and dense forests.


Soochipara Waterfall is one of the best tourist spots in Wayanad. The rock nearby has a resemblance to a needle and hence got the name Soochippara. Soochi means needle and Paara means rock in Malayalam. The water of the Soochipara waterfall later flows into the Chulika River, popularly known as the Chaliyar River. 

It is famous for rock climbing and nature walks. Below the waterfall is a pool suitable for bathing, rafting, and swimming. The waterfall in itself is a visual treat. Nature walks are the best way to explore the destination and see deer and other wildlife near the falls. The waterfall has one of the most environmentally friendly places in the area.
