Lakkidi is the entrance to Wayanad
Lakkidi is the entrance to Wayanad as it lies at the top of the serpentine Thamarassery Ghat Pass.
From Adiam to Lakkidi, it is nine meanders through the mountains and a journey through the serpentine Ghat Pass. The elevation above sea level is 2296 feet and the main town nearby is Vythiri, which is five kilometers away. The lush greenery of the slopes, the gorges, and the streams that dot the slope on both sides of the terrain will surely be remembered by visitors for a long time.
From time to time, guests stop at Lakkidi View Point, a vantage point that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Lakkidi has also developed into a remarkable hill station with numerous resorts and lodges
