 Soochipara Falls, also known as Sentinel Rock Waterfalls, is surrounded by huge hills and dense forests. Soochipara Waterfall is one of the best tourist spots in Wayanad. The rock nearby has a resemblance to a needle and hence got the name Soochippara. Soochi means needle and Paara means rock in Malayalam. The water of the Soochipara waterfall later flows into the Chulika River, popularly known as the Chaliyar River.  It is famous for rock climbing and nature walks. Below the waterfall is a pool suitable for bathing, rafting, and swimming. The waterfall in itself is a visual treat.  Lakkidi is the entrance to Wayanad as it lies at the top of the serpentine Thamarassery Ghat Pass.  From Adiam to Lakkidi, it is nine meanders through the mountains and a journey through the serpentine Ghat Pass. The elevation above sea level is 2296 feet and the main town nearby is Vythiri, which is five kilometers away. The lush greenery of the slopes, the gorges, and the streams that dot the slope on both sides of the terrain will surely be remembered by visitors for a long time.  From time to time, guests stop at Lakkidi View Point, a vantage point that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.  Kuruvadweep is the only island in Kerala surrounded by a naturally purified water source.  It has an area of 950 hectares in Wayanad district, Kerala, India.  Sulthan Bathery is a town and municipality in Wayanad district in Kerala, India.  It was formerly known as Sultan's Battery and is the largest town in the Wayanad district, taking its name from the ancient Bathery Jain temple.
